<Option 1> Seoul as seen through the map (decorating eco bag stencils)
Participants view permanent exhibits and attend audiovisual classes, using the map of Seoul, to understand how Seoul the capital city of Korea has changed and learn about related cultures; based on this, they learn how to make an eco (eco-friendly) bag on which the present Seoul is drawn |
<Option 2> Palaces of Seoul (decorating the “dancheong” pattern mirror of Gyeonghuigung Palace)
Participants examine our old palaces and patterns through visits to Gyeonghuigung Palace and audiovisual classes and learn the meanings contained within; then they decorate mirrors with traditional patterns |
<Option 3> Yangban of Seoul (decorating the seonbi fan / hanbok experience)
Participants study the lifestyle of yangban (noblemen) of Hanyang during the Joseon dynasty and related cultures through permanent exhibits and audiovisual classes; based on this, they decorate seonbi (classical scholar) fans using Korean painting techniques and wear hanbok (traditional Korean clothes) |
